DESTRUCTIVE

archive_link

Put a Smart Link out of use. It stops counting and crediting; its address keeps landing on the portal home and its figures stay. Destructive in that it cannot be undone.

Retire a link whose channel is over. Archiving is the only removal a link has: the row, the members it brought and the money they paid all stay, so the funnel keeps adding up next month, and the address keeps landing on the portal home, so a flyer or a bio that carries it never shows anyone an error. link.archived emits the first time.

An archived link is never put back in use. Confirm the target with a human and, if the channel comes back, make a new link. Calling this on an archived link changes nothing and answers the same row.

Requires ability

The token behind the MCP session must hold it, or the call is refused with TOKEN_MISSING_ABILITY.

The REST endpoint and this tool share one action, so validation, permissions and events are identical.

Fires one event

Delivered to every endpoint subscribed to it once the change is made.

Annotations

DestructiveIdempotent

A client that honours annotations asks a person before running it. Sending the same arguments twice changes nothing the second time.

project_id*string

UUID of the project the link belongs to.

link_id*string

UUID of the Smart Link to archive.

{  "data": {    "id": "7c2e5a90-3f41-4b8d-9e62-1a0d4c8b7f35",    "name": "YouTube description",    "slug": "youtube",    "code": "K7PMQ2X",    "state": "archived",    "archived_at": "2026-12-01T08:30:11+00:00",    "clicks": { "total": 1204, "last_at": "2026-11-30T22:41:09+00:00" }  }}

The link as it now reads, state: "archived", in the same shape as get_link.

RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND

unknown project_id or link_id, or a link of another project.

AUTHENTICATION_REQUIRED

no authenticated user on the request.

TOKEN_MISSING_ABILITY

token lacks project-link:delete.
