Turns & Credits
What counts as a turn, when a turn counts as two, the free turns every plan includes each month, the order a turn is paid in, what a suggested reply in the inbox costs instead, the monthly cap, auto top-up, who pays on a team, and what is never charged.
The Copilot is metered by the turn, and a turn is paid for from three pools in a fixed order: your plan's free turns for the month, then the free part of your Copilot Credits, then the part you paid for. Nothing is ever invoiced later and nothing reaches your plan invoice.
1. Free turns
Every plan includes them, reset on the first of each month: 25 on Free and Starter, 50 on Growth. Spent first, never charged for.
2. Free Copilot Credits
A pack's bonus and anything Subscriby grants you. Spent before paid credit, the part lapsing soonest first.
3. Paid Copilot Credits
The packs you bought, spent oldest first at $0.10 a turn. A pack never lapses.
What a turn is
| What you do | Turns |
|---|---|
| Send a message and get an answer | 1 |
| A message whose answer needed more than four tool steps | 2 |
| Confirm a card (the action runs and the Copilot finishes) | 1 |
| Cancel a card | 0 |
| Tap a follow-up button | 1, like any message |
| A turn whose model could not be reached, or that failed | 0 |
| The hand-off to live support | part of the turn that asked |
A turn stops at eight tool steps whatever happens. On Auto and Pro the most a message can cost is two turns; on Lite it is always one; on Max every turn counts double, so two, and four past four tool steps (Model and review).
A suggested reply is not a turn
| What you do | Costs |
|---|---|
| Press ✨ in the Support Inbox and receive a draft | $0.05 of Copilot Credits |
| Use, edit or dismiss the draft | 0 |
| A draft the model could not deliver | 0 |
Free turns never pay for a suggestion. It draws on your Copilot Credits straight away, the free part first, then the paid part, and a paid draw counts against the monthly cap like a turn's; with nothing to draw on, a notice says the credit is spent and no draft is made. The statement lists suggestions under Reply Suggestions. Copilot in Your Inbox has the whole flow.
A member answer is not a turn either
| What happens | Costs |
|---|---|
| The Copilot answers a member in the Support Inbox | 1 member answer: 100 free a month on Free, 250 on Starter, 500 on Growth, then $0.01 |
| A member question it leaves for you | 0 |
Member answers have their own monthly allowance beside the free turns and draw on the same Copilot Credits after it; a spent pool means the Copilot stays quiet and the message waits for you.
How a turn is paid
The month's free turns go first. The credit line counts them down: "24 free turns left this month". Your Copilot Credits are untouched until they are gone.
Then the free credit. $0.10 a turn from the pack bonuses and any promotion, the part lapsing soonest first, so nothing lapses while something else could have been spent.
Then the paid credit, oldest pack first. Every usage line in the statement names the grant it drew on.
At zero, the Copilot stops. It never runs a debt: the panel's composer refuses with a Top up link and the bot answers with a Top Up Copilot Credits button, until you top up or the month turns. A Free creator never needs a card to use the free turns.
Copilot Credits
Free before paid
Your month's free turns and member answers come first. A pack is drawn on only past them, and for the inbox's suggested replies, which no free turn covers.
Packs of $10, $25, $50 and $100
One-off purchases from the Billing page. The three larger ones add free bonus credit on top: +$2.50, +$7.50 and +$15. A pack never lapses and never touches your plan invoices.
Credits & Credit Packs covers buying a pack, auto top-up, the spending cap, refunds, the statement and how Copilot Credits differ from the Subscriby Credit the Partner Program pays.
The cap and the floor
Monthly spending cap
The most paid credit the Copilot may spend in a calendar month, $20 unless you change it in Billing; free credit is never counted against it; set it to 0 for no cap. At the cap the Copilot refuses until the month turns or you raise it.
Zero is a floor, not a debt
When the free turns and the credit are both spent the Copilot stops rather than running a debt. The Billing card says "Your Copilot Credits are used up" only then, never while free turns remain.
Who pays on a team
The pool is the account owner's. A team member whose role carries Use Copilot spends the owner's free turns and credit; the owner sees every turn in the Copilot Credits statement, with the project and the thread it came from.
What is never charged
- A cancelled card.
- A turn whose model could not be reached, or that failed before it finished.
- A suggested reply the model could not deliver, and using or dismissing one it did.
- A question refused because the credit is spent or your role lacks the permission.
- The Monday digest and the alerts.
Where the money goes
A turn's cost in model tokens is recorded on the turn itself, for Subscriby's own books, so the price per turn can be read against real traffic. You are charged the flat price above, never the tokens.

Example Conversations
Six conversations as they happen: a project created with a button to open it, a churn question answered from the ledger, a coupon made at once beside a pause held behind a confirmation card, a member found by their connected account, a question about a Subscriby invoice handed to live support, and a follow-up tapped in the bot.
