Why Discord
One verified app instead of a bot you host, roles granted the minute a member pays, every payment method settling in your own accounts, and the creator toolkit as slash commands.
A Discord server is already built for memberships: a role decides what a member sees, a channel can be hidden behind a role, and the server itself can be invite-only. What Discord does not do is decide who has paid. Subscriby does that, and keeps the server in step with it.
Why use Discord?
Nothing to host, nothing to paste
Subscriby is one verified app you add to your server from the dashboard. There is no bot to create, no token to keep safe, no server of your own to run it on, and nothing that stops working when a token is rotated.
Roles the minute they pay
A member who pays and has connected their Discord account is added to your server by the app itself and given every role the plan includes, within seconds. When the subscription, pass or trial ends, the roles go the same minute; a late renewal brings them back.
Sell a role, a channel or the whole server
A plan can unlock a role, a private channel (the app makes and manages the role behind it) or membership of the server itself, and a plan can mix them. Passes and pass series work on roles and channels, with the window showing on the server's event calendar.
Your money, your gateways
Members pay on the portal through the payment methods you switched on: cards and wallets, local rails, crypto. Every payment settles in your own account; Subscriby never holds it.
Run the business from the server
/subscriby-admin carries the creator toolkit: plans, coupons, access codes, payments,
broadcasts, the support inbox, the Referral and Partner Programs, the portal design, Smart
Links, Disaster Recovery and the Copilot, each with a confirmation before anything changes.
Members who never leave Discord
/subscriby status, /subscriby plans, /subscriby cancel and the rest answer in the server,
privately. A member who joins without a membership is sent the plans once. Support goes where
you want it: your direct messages or a forum of threads.
Linked Roles and events, done for you
A role can require a verified Subscriby membership through Discord's own Linked Roles, and a window of access becomes a scheduled event on the channel it opens, kept in step as the window changes.
Prepared for the bad day
The Disaster Recovery Program probes the app, every place you sell and your own Discord account, keeps a standby role or channel per place with a live mirror of a channel's posts, re-admits members on its own, and relinks your creator account to a new Discord account through one link.
How it compares to a role-sync bot
Most Discord monetisation tools are a role sync: a payment somewhere flips a role. Subscriby is a membership engine that happens to flip roles too:
| A role-sync bot | Subscriby |
|---|---|
| One role per product | A plan grants any mix of roles, channels, the server and manual perks, on Discord and beyond |
| The member must already be in the server | The app adds a member who connected Discord, or hands anyone else a single-use invite |
| Leaves the member in when they stop paying | Removes the roles the minute access ends, or removes the member from the server, your choice |
| A bot you host or a token you paste | One verified app, nothing to host |
| Payments through the tool's own account | Your own gateways, settled to you, with the fees you negotiated |
| A ban or a lost account is your problem | Standby places, a live mirror, automatic failover and account relinking |
When Telegram fits better
Telegram remains the connector with native in-app payments (Telegram Stars) and a bot that carries your own name. If your members live on Telegram, start there; a project can run both connectors at once on the Growth plan, and one purchase can grant places on each. See Why Telegram.
