Discord Membership App
How Subscriby runs a paid Discord server: add one verified app, sell roles, channels or the whole server, and let every role be granted and removed for you.
Discord is the second connector Subscriby ships, and the first that needs no bot of your own. One verified Subscriby app serves every creator: you add it to your server from the dashboard, drag its role above the roles you sell, and from then on it gives members the roles their plan includes the moment they pay and takes them back when their access ends. Other connectors sit beside it on the same project (see Connectors); this section is about Discord's own mechanics.
This section covers the platform-level mechanics. What you sell and who you sell it to lives in For Creators; what your members experience lives in For Subscribers.
Private beta
The Discord connector is in a private beta. The Connectors Marketplace lists it as Under Development until its general release, and only creators Subscriby has invited can install it on a project; for them the card carries an Experimental badge. Everything on these pages describes what the beta does today. Nothing you read here needs a Discord bot token: there is none to create.
No bot to create
Unlike Telegram, where you create a bot with @BotFather and paste its token, Discord is served by Subscriby's own verified app. You never see a token, nothing you paste is a credential, and the app's name and avatar are Subscriby's. Your branding lives in your server: its name, icon, channels and the roles you sell.
Set up a paid server or a paid area
Create a paid server
From a server and the verified app to the first paying member, with a test purchase before you announce.
Sell a role or a channel
A paid area inside an open server: a role or a private channel the app grants and takes back, the members area in one click, and the mistakes that leak access.

Advantages
Why a paid Discord server runs well on Subscriby, and what the connector gives you that a role-sync bot does not.
Onboarding
Create your creator account, link your Discord account and connect your first server.
Connect your server
Add the app to a server, the permissions it asks for, the role to drag, and the settings and actions on the Connectors page.
Integration
How roles, channels and the server itself are sold, granted, removed and reconciled.
Running it
What the app can do
Everything the app does for your members and for you, in the server and in direct messages.
Admin commands
The whole creator toolkit as /subscriby-admin slash commands: projects, plans, payments, broadcasts, support, recovery and more.
Running your server
The members area in one click, the announcement channel, support threads, alerts and the Copilot.
Linked Roles
A verified-member requirement on any role, written from the membership ledger.
Pass windows as events
Windows of access that appear on the server's event calendar, kept in step with the window.
How the app stays connected
The live connection to Discord, what runs when it hiccups, and what to check when the app goes quiet.
What Discord supports
| Capability | Limit or note |
|---|---|
| Roles | Supported: any role below the app's own |
| Private channels | Supported: text, voice, stage and forum channels, gated through a role the app makes for each |
| The whole server | Supported: membership of the server, with your choice of what happens when it ends |
| Automatic add / remove | Driven by subscription status, including expiry and cancellation; a member who connected Discord is added by the app itself |
| Invites | Single-use, valid a week, made per member for anyone the app cannot add directly |
| Broadcasts | Posted once in your announcement channel mentioning the plans' roles, or sent as direct messages |
| Slash commands | /subscriby for members, /subscriby-admin for you |
| Linked Roles | Supported: a verified-member requirement on any role |
| Scheduled events | Pass windows become server events, voice and stage channels by default |
| Native payments | None. Members pay through your own gateways on the portal |

Hand the bot a replacement chat, re-admit every member automatically, remind the ones still outside, and undo within 24 hours.
Why Discord
One verified app instead of a bot you host, roles granted the minute a member pays, every payment method settling in your own accounts, and the creator toolkit as slash commands.
